Songwriter and guitarist, Owl can be recognised from his success in the mid-nineties. He formed a band called Qcumba Zoo which took South Africa by storm and got signed to Arista Records in New York. With three years of voice training and a childhood influenced by musical parents, Simone's passion leaves no doubt in the listener. Her songwriting and voice have been described as dramatic and multi-layered. Together their vision is to awaken their audience to the subtle, yet magical power of music. They believe music is strong form of healing and when composed with the right intention, can move hearts.
SHYEN is currently in a new, exciting process of re-branding their sound, their look and their performance. This includes talented guest performers from around the country to add to their vision. In this way, they hope to create a new experience for it's fans. One that is ever-changing, ever-growing and enchanting.

They have played at various venues and events across South Africa, including Tanz Cafe, The Lonehill Festival, Res Gallery, Stix, The Music Kitchen, Mitchell's Brewery and Arcade Empire etc. They tour regularly and are busy working on their 2nd Album.
